Word from the Zoo

The word from the Detroit Zoo is that the latest departure from the ePrize fold is COO, Mickey Mouse fan, and leagal eagle Robb Lippitt. Was it a coup for the COO or a more-friendly departure than when Keith Simmons flew the coop? The verdict is still out. It's a sure bet, though, that Lippitt leaves fat with cash for greener (not greener, redder, and purpler) pastures.

Details are a bit sketchy on the new COO waiting in the wings. Former Microsoft exec and not much else is known at the moment. It's only said that he's one hell of a singer and can do Sudoku puzzles with lightning-speed.

I have only been at the company for about a year, but actually love the place. Great people, and awesome atmosphere.

The one guy I hated was Robb Lippitt. From the first time I met him he was smug, arrogent, and basically a jerk. I never understood what Josh saw in him. He was always the road block for change, not helpful. I honestly didn't even know what he actually did other than make people feel bad.

Rumor is that Josh Linkner fired him, which I think was a great decision. We are much better off without Robb. I think the new guy from Microsoft will help take us to the next level. Glad to be along for the ride.

Is the new COO officially known as "Microsoft Guy"?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who wondered what it was that Lippitt did around ePrize other than act important and try to flex his puny legal muscles. He was the ninety-nine pound weakling who acted like he was Charles Atlas.

I think the only things Robb ever really excelled at were making people feel awful and firing people -- often the two went hand in hand.

Who's going to be "King Dick" around the office now? My money is on Jacokes or Dwoskin.

what happened to Keith Simmons? I understand he's working over at Triad Digital in Tampa now?

The word around the water cooler that I'm hearing is that the big cheese wanted the little cheese out of there a long time ago. So, I wouldn't look for "voluntary retirement" as an option here.
